Tortuga Island – Snorkeling Day Tour

Price: $80 USD (per person)

This tour begins at 9:00 am from Playa Montezuma. It takes approximately 45 minutes to reach the island. During the journey, you can enjoy the stunning views of the Nicoya Peninsula and, occasionally, sightings of turtles, dolphins, rays, and humpback whales. Upon arrival at the island, we conduct snorkeling sessions with our guides. The boat is anchored near two rocky islets teeming with marine life, including angelfish, porcupine fish, moray eels, needlefish, starfish, rays, and more. Snorkeling equipment is provided.

Lunch is served at around 12:00 / 12:30, with three options available. Our chef prepares fresh grilled fish, chicken fillet, sautéed vegetables with delicious grilled potatoes, or a vegetarian meal. After lunch, you will have two free hours to explore the island. The tour concludes with a return trip to Montezuma at 3:00 pm.

Bioluminescence Tour

Price: $70 USD (per person)

This tour begins with a boat departing from Montezuma at 4 pm, taking you to Playa Vivos, a stunning location rich in nature and white sandy beaches. This excursion includes a visit to one of the finest beaches in the Tambor area, where you’ll be treated to seasonal fruits, drinks, and water as you take in the sunset and marvel at the area’s beauty.

As night descends, you’ll have the chance to explore the reefs and lovely beach corners. At the right moment, we’ll set sail to witness one of nature’s most magnificent phenomena, Bioluminescence.

Horseback Riding

Price: $60 USD (per person)

Montezuma, a stunning beach destination in Costa Rica, offers memorable horseback riding experiences. With breathtaking ocean views and lush vegetation, it’s an ideal location for exploration. A walk along the beach leads to the “El Chorro” waterfall, one of the few that cascades directly into the Pacific.

For those seeking a rainforest adventure, there is also a trail through the mountains and waterfalls. This horseback ride provides a unique opportunity to enjoy a different landscape and fauna.

Zip Line (Canopy Tour)

Price: $60 USD (per person)

Soar above the trees and take in the surrounding nature from the forest canopy. An exhilarating circuit, featuring 9 cables spread across 13 platforms, will guide you through the mountains of Montezuma. From this vantage point in the sky, you’ll enjoy a rush of adrenaline while observing Costa Rica’s rich fauna from panoramic viewpoints, with the Pacific Ocean serving as a stunning backdrop.

This is the thrilling experience of ziplining, where you can spot howler and capuchin monkeys, parrots, iguanas, and much more. Additionally, the tour includes visits to famous waterfalls. Here, you can take photographs or swim in the natural pools carved out by the waterfalls.

ATV Rentals

Starting ATV: $70 USD (6 hours)

Montezuma ATV Rentals provides new and well-maintained Honda TRX420 and TRX520 semi-automatic bikes, ideal for the local terrain. Whether you’re riding alone or with a partner, these vehicles allow for rapid coast travel. They also feature a secondary seat, offering comfort for an extra passenger and serving as additional storage. ATV rentals are available for periods ranging from 6 hours to 24 hours and even weekly or monthly if required.

Taxi Boat to Jaco

Price: $55 USD (per person)

With our water taxi, you’ll save time and travel in a beautiful, picturesque manner from the coasts of Montezuma to Jaco. Our boats cross the Gulf of Nicoya, Costa Rica, offering a stunning one-hour journey, making it the quickest way to travel between Montezuma and Herradura-Jaco or vice versa. Additionally, it’s also an excellent way to explore the Nicoya Peninsula and its natural treasures like beaches, waterfalls, and good surfing waves. It’s the best mode of transportation to the villages of Mal Pais, Santa Teresa, Manzanillo, Playa Hermosa, Tambor, and Cabuya.
